How to Brew Hot Herbal Tea
温かいハーブティーの淹れ方
Mix the tea leaves, put one tablespoon (2–3 g) into a teapot or kyusu, pour about 150 ml of boiling
water, steep for 3–5 minutes, then stir well before drinking.
How to Make Cold-Brew Herbal Tea
水出しハーブティーの作り方
Items to Prepare
- Tea leaves … 2 tablespoons (approx. 5g)
- Tea bag
- Water … about 500 ml
- A small amount of boiling water
- Bottle or glass jar
※Glass jars are preferable as they retain heat better
- Mix the tea leaves and put 2 tablespoons into a tea bag.

Place the bag into a bottle or glass jar, pour in enough boiling water to cover it, and leave for
about 30 seconds.
This step sterilizes the tea leaves. - Add 500–700ml of water, stir lightly. Steep at room temperature for 2 hours, or 5–6 hours in the refrigerator.
- Remove the tea bag and it’s ready.
